Year 2 Teacher required, Wakefield!

Are you a passionate and creative Year 2 Teacher ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners in the Wakefield area?

Our client, a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Wakefield, is seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their supportive team and inspire pupils through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. This is an ongoing temporary role, working full time, Monday to Friday, The role is to start January 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver exciting, differentiated lessons for Year 2 pupils.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within KS1 (Year 2 desirable).
• A warm, engaging personality and a passion for early education.
• Commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
• A minimum of 6-months experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum.
