Maze Recruitment Group is currently recruiting an experienced School Administrator to undertake a temporary contract within our Wakefield based client school. The role is full time working Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will ideally have recent experience of working within a school setting and experience with SIMS.

As the Schools Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the school’s administration function. You will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and assisting in the implementation of administration strategies to attract, retain, and develop exceptional staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming visitors to the school, handlings enquiries and managing security sign ins.
  • Answering phones and helping with queries and handling correspondence.  
  • Monitoring student attendance and contacting parents regarding any absences.
  • Updating student records, managing admissions in systems such as SIMS/Arbor.
  • Maintaining inventory within the school, managing invoices and ordering supplies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in using administrative software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current employment laws and regulations.
