PE Teacher required, Wakefield!

Our reputable education supply agency is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher for a long-term assignment in one of our partnered secondary schools in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a PE specialist who is passionate about delivering high-quality physical education and keen to make a sustained impact within a supportive school environment.

This role is full time, Monday to Friday starting January 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
• Assess and monitor student progress
• Contribute to extracurricular sport and school teams (where required)
• Work collaboratively with the department to maintain high standards

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT considered
• Specialism in Physical Education
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Ability to commit to a long-term role
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• A minimum of 6 months experience teaching the UK PE curriculum
