History Teacher required, Wakefield!

Maze Recruitment Group is seeking a talented History Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator who can bring historical events, cultures, and stories to life for students in Wakefield.

The role is a full time, Monday to Friday in a long term role, starting January 2026.

What the role involves:

• Teaching History across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is a bonus)
• Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
• Creating a positive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Participating in departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
• Working full time, Monday to Friday

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Has strong curriculum knowledge and a genuine passion for History
• Demonstrates excellent behaviour management
• Works well as part of a team and shows initiative
• Is reliable, professional, and committed to the duration of the role
• A minimum of 6 months experience teaching History in UK schools
