Maze Recruitment Group is seeking a talented History Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator who can bring historical events, cultures, and stories to life for students in Wakefield.
The role is a full time, Monday to Friday in a long term role, starting January 2026.
What the role involves:
- Teaching History across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is a bonus)
- Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
- Creating a positive classroom environment that supports all learners
- Participating in departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
- Working full time, Monday to Friday
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has strong curriculum knowledge and a genuine passion for History
- Demonstrates excellent behaviour management
- Works well as part of a team and shows initiative
- Is reliable, professional, and committed to the duration of the role
- A minimum of 6 months experience teaching History in UK schools
