Maze Recruitment Group are looking for a passionate Drama Teacher to join an Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school in Leeds that celebrates performance, expression, and imagination as has the trajectory to become ‘Outstanding’.

About the Role

This isn’t just teaching—it’s storytelling, directing, and guiding the next generation of performers. You’ll deliver inspiring lessons, lead productions, and nurture students’ confidence, helping them discover their voice both on and off the stage.

The role is a Maternity cover working full time, Monday – Friday starting January 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Teach Drama across KS3–KS4 (KS5 is a bonus)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, imaginative lessons
  • Direct and choreograph performances, showcases, and school productions
  • Inspire creativity, teamwork, and confidence in students
  • Collaborate with an outstanding Performing Arts department

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has strong Drama subject knowledge and performance experience
  • Is creative, energetic, and passionate about theatre education
  • Excels in classroom management and motivating students
  • Thrives in a high-performing, supportive environment
  • A minimum of 6 months experience teaching Drama in UK schools
