Maze Recruitment Group (MRG) are currently looking for multiple Behaviour Support Workers (BSW). We are working with a specialist Secondary School in Bradford who are looking to recruit multiple experienced Behaviour Support Workers (BSW) to work within various Key Stages supporting both small groups and 1:1 at different points of the week.

As a Behaviour Support Worker (BSW) you will support students on a 1:1 basis or small groups basis with students who have been excluded from mainstream schools.

As a Behaviour Support Worker (BSW) you will support students who have been identified with Emotional, Social, Behavioural or Mental Health Issues known as either BESD, EDS, or SEMH. You may also support students who have Moderate Learning Difficulties such as Autism, ADD, ADHD, or OCD. 

This role is a Temporary to Permanent role starting ASAP, Monday to Friday, full time.

The Role:

  • Working with both small groups and 1:1 within various Key Stages.
  • Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task.
  • Clarifying and explaining any questions or instructions given to the pupil.
  • Maintaining behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with people with learning difficulties is essential.
  • Team Teach training is not essential but desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to carry one out.
  • A calm nature is essential as you will be working with vulnerable pupils.
  • Applicants must be patients, resilient and empathetic to each of the students individual needs.

We would love to hear from candidates who have experience working with teenagers either as a Youth Worker, Sports Coach or within an Education setting and hold a degree in PE/Sports, Youth Studies, Education or similar.
