Maze Recruitment Group are seeking an enthusiastic Art & Design educator to join our dynamic client school in Leeds, helping students explore their creativity and develop their artistic and design skills.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Art and Design lessons across KS3–KS5, nurturing students’ creativity, confidence, and technical ability. You’ll contribute to a vibrant curriculum that includes fine art, graphic design, textiles, and digital media. The role is a full time, long term contract starting September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Develop students’ understanding of both traditional and digital artistic techniques.
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Art and Design examinations.
• Contribute to the wider creative life of the school, including exhibitions and workshops.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECTs welcomed to apply.
• A teaching qualification in Art, Design, or a related discipline.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for creativity.
• A minimum of 6 month’s experience teaching the UK curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to fostering artistic excellence and innovation.
