1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) required, Leeds!

Maze Recruitment Group are currently looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA). We are working with a mainstream Primary School in Leeds who are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a specific pupil during the week.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) you will support a Primary aged student who has general SEN support needs, who requires extra support with learning. You will also be required to support both the class teacher.

This role is a Temporary to Permanent role starting ASAP, Monday to Friday, full time.

The Role:

• Working on a 1:1 basis.
• Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task.
• Clarifying and explaining any questions or instructions given to the pupil.
• Support the class teacher with any additional duties.

Requirements:

• Experience working with people with learning difficulties is essential.
• Experience in a SEN education setting is ideal.
• Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to carry one out.
• Phonics training/knowledge desirable.
• Candidate must have a caring, calm nature.
• A minimum of 6 months experience in Uk Primary schools.
