The Teacher of Music will be responsible for supporting students to strive and to empower them so they can achieve their full potential.

They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join the team in Bradford. The successful Teacher of Music will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring music lessons to students across various age groups and skill levels. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Music Teacher who is enthusiastic about sharing their love of music and nurturing the musical talents of young learners in Bradford

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive music lessons across all key stages that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Teach a range of musical concepts, including music theory, instrumental techniques, composition, and performance skills.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity and express themselves through music.
  • Organise and facilitate extracurricular music activities, such as school bands, choirs, or music clubs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music education into cross-curricular projects and school events.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive and collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (PGCE or QTS desirable).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching music to students in the UK of varying ages and abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance practices.
  • Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument (piano, guitar, violin, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their musical goals.
